LYNNWOOD HIGH OLD SCHOOL CLOSING CELEBRATION

The new Lynnwood High School will be opening in the fall of 2009 on a new site on North Road, but first a celebration of the old building will be held on May 30, 2009 from 1pm to 8pm. All graduates, staff, neighbors, community members and friends are invited to attend all or parts of the celebration and say goodbye to the old school. The school will be open from 1 to 5 with a chance for visitors to wander around the school and see not only the building, but also former classmates and staff. A spaghetti dinner will be held from 4:30 to 6:30. A silent auction will also be held where visitors will have a chance to bid on such items as building signs (Champion Hall), some locker numbers, murals, disco ball, extra year books and other miscellaneous items. An evening program will be held from 7 to 8 in the gym with a chance to hear from some former staff, alumni, parents, and current students. If you are interested in more details you can check out the school web site at www.edmonds.wednet.edu. Volunteers are needed for parts of the day and you or your business can donate to the silent auction or buy a page of advertising on the program. All profits will go to the LHS ASB fund. Call to volunteer or donate - Aly Nelson at 425-431-5247 or nelsona@edmonds.wednet.edu - and discuss your involvement. Save the day and make your reservations!
